Fragile Memory

In the exhibition, the artworks reduce the details about the past and the restrained images examine the unconscious moments that occur in memory in terms of fullness and emptiness. With a critical view brought to the unconscious, the limits of the invisible is revealed with a poetic expression. Childhood period consists of creativity fullfilled with exciting discoveries about the outside world and emotions created by these experiences. While the naïve and pure perception of childhood moments change into a unique sensation over time, these moments are altered with the disconnected and shifted images of the past. This situation is accompanied by the influence of consciousness that add meaningful order to the memory. The loss of clarity which is a driving force in the artist's practice creates a breaking point with the effect of awareness and anxiety. While the artworks in the 'Fragile Memory' exhibition focus on the relationship established between the past and the present, they connect the images that question the expression possibilities with the audience. The artist is inspired by daily, intuitive, and autobiographical life experiences and is lead by fragile and permeable anxiety. The forms that explore senses by questioning the possibilities of time and space open the door for personal issues with an unclear method of remembrance. Uluşanver places emotions obtained from memory, daily objects, photographs, and documented moments into a silent palette, while bringing the images out of oblivion and into query again to form their own forms with their deficiencies and gaps.
